Happy Mom and Pop Business Day…AKA Small Business Owner’s Day
Today I did a lot of shopping at Mom and Pop Businesses (and a few not so Mom and Pop). Farmer’s Markets are the perfect place to buy from up and coming stores that may not have brick and mortars yet. The far-mars in San Diego are funny because they are mostly boho craft sellers who make jewelry out of motherboards and old hardware, specialty organic peanutbutters, goat cheese popsicles, and a very large variety of salsas. Today I bought a strawberry crepe, a strawberry plant called a pineberry which is white and tastes like pineapples (we will see when it produces fruit), three pretzel rolls, a bunch of flowers, and about a dozen free samples of fruits, salsas, cheeses, peanut butters, cheesecakes, creme brulee, and weird juice mixes. A pretty great day indeed!
