Happy National Bathroom Reading Day!
I don’t spend a lot of time in the bathroom reading. I’m more of a wait until it’s almost a crisis and then go type of girl. However, I adore children’s literature and even more love children’s lit about absurd topics. My favorite types are twisted endings (Tadpole’s Promise, I Want My Hat Back, Beware of the Frog) and even more books about body functions.
The book that I read today is called The Story of a the Little Mole Who Knew It Was None of His Business. This book is the “Plop-Up” edition. Simple and hilarious! It’s about a mole who gets shat on and then his travels as he tries to find out whodunnit. I believe it is a Belgium or French book originally but was translated thankfully. Do yourself a favor and find this book!
Oh and I got new reading glasses today…it’s like the optometrist knew it was National Bathroom Reading Day!
