365 Holidays

This is a blog about a year’s worth of adventures, that happen one day at a time. My New Year’s Resolution is to celebrate a holiday each day and then blog about it here. This combines two of my loves… talking about myself and making every day count. If we live each day of our lives fully then at the end of our lives we will have fully lived.

Since my pre-frontal cortex has been developed for quite some time and I am for all intents and purposes a grown-ass woman I want to make sure that I don’t take any of my days for granted. Sometimes I get stuck being in “adult” mode, doing the same things every day and not enjoying any of it. I am taking back this next year and making time for the frivolous, the silly, the ridiculous.

I shamelessly stole this idea from a friend who is far more creative and adorable than I. However, since imitation is sincere flattery I am sure she will not mind. I think she is one of the most creative and adorable people on this whole planet so if you want to read about her project it is here, Not Just an Ordinary Day.

I am going to put this caveat here, I think that doing things for fun should be…well… fun! So if I feel like taking a day off then I will, no sense in making a hobby a chore after all.

“I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of the telescope.” -Dr. Seuss

I don’t know what 365 day will bring but I am ready for the adventure!

  1. I love you blog! I love yournvoice and the joy you are finding/having. I’ve been thinking about joy a lot recently and how it seems harder to find/have/feel. And it is something I am reclaiming bit by bit. Thank you for sharing Adrielle!
